What to Expect

What to Expect for Children

We have a nursery for our children three and under that is available the entire service. And in the foyer is our children's church signup for children 4-9 years of age. After joining in on the singing portion of worship they are dismissed by our pastor to head down stairs where they get taught a biblical lesson by awesome groups of children church leaders that is tailored towards their age level.

What to Expect in the Service

Our worship service is structured as follows. We open with a song of worship, which is followed by a welcome from our pastor and a brief time of announcements. We then continue in a time of singing and praise for approximately 15 minutes or so. Our music is a mix of both contemporary and traditional Christian songs. Following this a time of worship through offering and tithes. After this the children’s church is dismissed and our pastor comes up and begins preaching. Our preaching consists of verse by verse exposition where the Pastor begins with a book of the Bible and we remain in that book for a season until it is completed. We are currently going through the book of Ecclesiastes. The preaching usually last between 45mins-1hr. Following this our service is closed with a song of invitation and a benediction. On the first Sunday of every month we partake of the Lord’s supper and close with a singing of the doxology.

What to Expect from Us

At Hillside we believe in the value of community, and as such our goal is to make you feel at home. Be prepared to be welcomed by one of our greeters at the door, they will be able to answer any questions that you might have. You will be asked to fill out a connect card if you like, and this just provides an opportunity for the pastor to reach out to you an answer any questions you might have about our church. Our biggest goal is to make sure youl walk away from Hillside feeling edified by the worship, and welcomed and loved by the people.
